Unthinkable events occurred in the Marvel Universe at the end of 2014: Wolverine’s death! Wolverine was not meant to die like other Marvel characters because he was a healing factor and one of the most well-known X-Mans in all the universes.

That all changed, though, in the pages of Wolverine volume 5, as his foes wasted no time in trying to kill him once and for all after realizing that Wolverine could finally be eliminated. Even more, Wolverine has a huge bounty on his head that few assassins and his foes would be foolish to turn down. The search for Wolverine is on, but who issued the contract? Logan goes on the attack after learning that his enigmatic enemy wants him to survive. He’s resolved to pass away the same way he lived as the hunted turns into the hunter once more.

After Wolverine: The Death, what should I read?

The fallout from Wolverine’s death was significant enough, but Spider-Man and the X-Men are the next big thing! Following Wolverine’s demise, Ororo discovered documents pertaining to Spider-Man’s invitation to instruct a new special class. Shortly after, Spider-Man assumed the role of guidance counselor at Jean Grey Academy.

Though Wolverine is gone, what will happen to his mortal remains if they are protected by something as powerful and uncommon as Adamantium? The Wolverines series contains the answer to that query.
